For anyone who ever thought SW API programming was a marketable skill...
Thanks for sharing it Roland. Hope people understand that programmers also need to pay their bills, survive and take care of their family.
That is awesome - My son is a graphic artist / designer, and he gets hit up with this stuff all the time.
"Think about the exposure..." is always one of my favorites -
Hmmm, there are awards with his name on them, and this year he was nominated for https://32under32.org/
For graphic design, I often help friends out for free or for trade. I'm the free guy who fixes the other free guys junk numerous times. I'm a designer - mechanical and not worth competing with pro's in graphic. Totally skewing the market.
I still do a mean photoshop job on things. But, not at all worth a career in graphic.
He does some of that as well, but it is usually if it is for a great cause/great people/etc.
(and it is usually for the people that say "we can only give you this much $..." - he rarely ever does it for the people that come out of the gate demanding it for free.)
- Luckily he still helps out his dad, he did the slugme infographic, as well as my 6in9 SWUGN Tour and 6in7 Quest for CSWE graphics.
