I am a new user of power surfacing and tried to roughly model a corvette ZR1. The problem is that i cannot thicken the little part i made. Any tips or advices to create smooth surfaces using this add-in ?
I don't have any experience in power surfacing add-in. However as paul salvador writes your minimum radius of curvature is very small. If you use Check Entity tool you can identify the smallest radius. But oddly even if you eliminate all faces with extremely small curvature it will still not thicken.
In these cases I use Split (normally with sketches) to chop the surface into smaller bites and thicken them individually to identify the problem areas. And sometimes the smaller surfaces will then thicken and you can combine them.
In your case I was able to thicken all the blue parts and only the gray remains. So you might consider rework these areas. But in general surfacing: don't try to make too much at the same time.
Pascal,.. you need to increase the min radius of curvature.. it's very small right now so you'll need to keep tweeking to increase it.
Paul, Thank you for your contribution, highly appreciated!
Have a great day!
Thomas, thank you for your help, I will use your advices for the next. And as you said, this is quite easy to get messed up with the shapes, I will focus and pinpoints on specefic parts as well.
Have a good day.
