I want to simulate a impact analysis of alloy wheel...like I want to drop a weight at a certain height to a wheel which fixed in bottom.....is there is any provision in Solid works premium......can any one give me a procedure to do....???

to do this with fidelity you need Simulation Premium and you do a non linear dynamic analysis. With Solidworks premium you can make some assumptions like no plastic deformation and no other forms of dissipation get an estimate by assuming the strain energy is equal to the impact energy 1/2*displ*force=1/2*m*v^2. It would be very conservative.

i have Simulation Premium...But i don't know how to give the solution settings ,end time and times step details in solid works....previously i have experience in Ansys...but now days am using solid works........so,sir do have any examples for non linear analysis..
should be some in the tutorials file under the help menu I would think. Maybe take the dynamics course from a reseller - it covers some problems but yours is a bit tricky. Try impacting a ball on a plate first. USe a qtr sym model and start the problem very close together with a velocity BC and make the time steps smaller than the time to close the gap to get contact.
