Hi All. I posted about this years ago and never got any help, but I figured I'd try again as I'm going nuts with this.

When I select parts in the feature tree, the process happens very slowly. I click a part, and the Windows 7 circle thing spins around and flickers between that and a regular cursor 4-10 times and then the part is selected. If I'm shift-cliking to slect multiple parts it does this with each part. It can be as much 10 seconds or more per part, which just seems crazy to me. This is in small assemblies (<50 parts) and does it even when selecting simple parts (a lens for example which is just one revolve).

Anyone else have trouble with this or know of a way to speed things up. It would be nice to know what SW is actually DOING when I click the part. Is it a graphics thing, or a RAM thing etc...?

Any help or insight would be much appreciated!!

For reference here is my system setup:

SW 2016 SP4.0

HP Z420 Workstation

Intel Xeon E5-1620v2 @ 3.70 GHz

3200GB RAM

Windows 7 64 Bit

Video: Nvidia Quadro K2000

Final 2 notes about this problem:

1) If I work exclusively off the hard drive (instead of parts on our network), the problem seems to go away (or be unnoticeable because my SSD is so fast?)

2) My coworker neighbor has a similar computer and on the same network and has opened my exact same assembly and does NOT have the problem.
