After doing some changes in Drawing or Part file, I need to "Check in" that file and change that file state from "WIP" to "Production Review", Is there any Macro code to do this action?
Thanks in advance.
So do a search for files in the WIP state.... Then select one..... ctrl+a. RMB.....
There are "a million" ways to skin this cat. I have given you a select few ways to do it. You CAN do it with these methods. I have done it, and continue to do it when I need to transition multiple files.
Why the need for a macro to do this? It's a pretty simple setup as it is. You either do you your changes, check the file in and then manually change the state to production review or you can set up the transition to automatically change based on certain criteria being met when you check it in.
Thanks for your Reply Steven, If it is one drawing file, we can change it manually But I have 1000+ files so that If any Macro available for this It will be very much useful.
Just do the transition through the task pane after you check the file in. If you're doing "1000+" files at once, go up one level in the windows explorer, RMB on the folder, then do the transition to production review.
Sorry Craig, I didn't get you. What is meant by RMB?
You mean-By Right clicking the folder and change all the file state to "Production Review" which are present in that folder.
But my Solidworks files are present in different folders.
How do you select the files that you are changing?
By clicking the Individual file->Right Click->Change State->Review.
Right mouse button. You can ctrl click all the folders the files are in and do the same thing.
Thanks for your Reply Craig, If I select one Folder that one contains the Files which are in Pre-Production state, Released State, Production Review state, WIP state etc., But I have to move the files only in WIP state .So I can't use this option.
Thank You Craig, I will use this option, Do you have any code to Check In the File and Change the state Because I already have a code to do changes in Drawing file and Save it. So If I have the Check in code that will be very much helpful.
