I used a backwards approach for this just to get something to one of our machine shop guys to do some work, but I am looking for how to do this the correct way.
I want to loft a rectangle profile, and have it sweep along a helix path, and loft into the smaller rectangle. I managed this with the sheet metal loft feature. I tried using regular loft, and then I converted the helix to a 3d sketch, and used that profile as a guide curve. The issue was that the profile stayed constant in its orientation. Please help me on how to do this the proper way.
Thank you,
Justin
Justin,,, Take a look at this and see if it's what you are after. This is a loft with centerline being your helix.
