other than to just show the after math of using a form tool
what is the actual point to make a form tool and then to place it
into the 3d model?
it doesnt effect my blank size because i cannot unbend them.
the formed dimensions are basically for reference anyways so not like i couldnt just make some sketch lines in the drawing itself to represent after punch
im just kinda new to stamping and making shapes in my sheet metal part and now that i know HOW to do it im wondering why i would want to do it especially because the company i work for rarely stamps anything and if we do its from a stamp supplied to us and we basically just locate it on our sheetmetal part and thats it
just wondering on some real world solidwork reasoning and usage
thanks
