I'm working on a project for a class and did not realize that I accidentally made a single part that was supposed to be an assembly of 3 separate parts. I was able to figure out how to use the Split feature to separate them, but they don't include the sketches or dimensions when I save them as new part files, which is something that I need for the assignment.

Is there any way to include the features/sketches when saving the bodies as new parts? Or will I have to redo some of them from scratch to get these?

I'm using SolidWorks 2016 Student Edition, if that makes a difference.
