I noticed this when I saw this odd notch on a cut I just made -
I investigated, and it looks like SW is trying to keep the cut straight through the part, even though I am cutting it at an angle. It is pasting the profile of the cut on both sides of the sheet-metal, and using both profiles to cut the part.
Is this some sort of setting I am unaware of? I'm in SW2016, and attaching the part to this post.
Try changing your bend relief to Tear.
I just took a look and I'm guessing that it is because the part is cut at an angle something else is going on.

Because you have normal cut checked in the property manager for Cut-Extrude1 you are correct that SW is cutting normal to the face which as you have seen produces strange results. If you uncheck the box, the cut will be at an angle and look like below. My question is do you want the cut to be normal or at an angle?
