In this video it seems fillet has been done without Thicken the surface. Is it possible?
Learn solidworks: surface design Thicken - YouTube
You have three surface bodies. They have to be Knitted together before you can add the Fillets.
Maha and Kevin.. you can do this without a knit.. corner fillets first and face fillet top/btm.. will automatically knit them.
That's cool, learn something new every day. Why can't we do that with Solid Bodies eh?
It is not coming. It is highly appreciated if you would upload a video demo of this.
Top edge is not coming. There is a error message.
Maha,.. look at your "arrows"... they should be pointing towards eachother or inwards,... flip the one pointing outwards.
How will you get this fillet.
If you mean the corners of the surface, then that should have been part of your original surface. Or trim yours with the proper trim tool.
However, you can do that one after the thicken as well.
I am just trying to create chamfer on a surface. Is it possible to mirror to create other three chamfers? Because mirror tool is not responding.
unfortunately,..you can't mirror a trim.. or that type of feature.... the functionality has been requested FOREVER.. ...such is the user request model which marketing loves to promote... that is, less than 1/10 of the users know how to use surfacing = snails pace in adding functionality
...so, the workaround is to create geometry to make geometry
..anyhow.. for surfacing... you have to manually create geometry to get things to work... such as, .. adding a surface to create or assist in making the corner/blends.. (vid attached)..
Thanks for introducing new tool.
