I am working with a school project and I get the same errors trying to create a linear pattern...
Can someone help me?
Help me as well with pictures or something - no idea what you're trying to do etc...
Sorry for the bad quality..
Ok - you have selected features - delete those selections and try to select Bodies
Yea I tried doing that earlier, the thing is that it is not a complete body. It consists of multiple features
What happened is apparently you have one of the features extruded up to a vertex, therefore when you pattern that feature there is no vertex for the copied feature. My guess is you would need to create the features as a separate body then you'll be able to pattern like you want..
ah, thanks but how do I do that?
It looks like the vertex point you have selected is incorrect. Can you attach your model with some information as to what you are trying to pattern so we can try and make it work?
I am trying to copy that upon the holes and stuff on the upper box...
Thanks for helping out people
It looks like you're trying to pattern a series of bodies that have been combined with other bodies that you don't want to pattern. If you'll look at the Solid Bodies folder near the top of your tree you'll see that you only have two bodies. Go back to the features used to create those features and de-select the "Merge result" box, so that what you're trying to pattern is a distinct, separate body (or group of bodies). Then try your pattern again, making sure to select "Bodies to Pattern" instead of the default "Features to Pattern". I'm pretty sure it will work fine then.
By the way, you didn't ask, but I'd recommend creating something this complex as an Assembly next time instead of having everything in a single Part file.
