Missing document templates after upgrading to Solidworks 2017 SP3

    Pedro Almeida

      Hello.

Yesterday I upgraded Solidworks 2016 SP5 to 2017 SP3. Everything went well except:

When I select File->New it shows this dialog:

      1.png

      I select "No".

I go to System Options->File Locations and the file location paths are correct:

In System Options->Default Templates the paths still point to a Solidworks 2016 location that does not exist anymore:

I browse to the location of the default document templates for Solidworks 2017 and there are no template files in there, only an empty marker.txt file:

      C:\ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS 2017\templates

      5.png

The templates for Tutorials are in the correct location, I think:

      C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS\lang\english\Tutorial

      4.png

      What is wrong?

How can I get the default document templates back in the templates directory?

I need these templates to continue my work.

      Regards,

      Pedro.
