I have a client that is using 3D Content Central / Solidworks for 3D modeling of their products. I'd like to understand what I would need to add the models to their existing website.
Do you mean their existing 3dcontentcentral website?
No. I'm sorry. I understand how to embed an iframe once they upload their design to the 3D content community website. Is there a viewer available to house the 3D content locally in a website?
That would be a good question for 3dcontentcentral I'm thinking that on the site there is contact info for 3dcontentcentral..
John, as I attempted to contact support, they suggested that I use the forums.
You must have contacted somebody that didn't want to bother, I'd ask for their supervisor....
Have you considered putting 3D PDF versions on their site instead of SW models?
Check this out:
Thanks Dan. This just talks about adding content via an iframe. This method puts the 3D content and viewer on 3D Content Central's servers. It causes a lag time and can pose SSL issues at times. I'd like to host the content and viewer lovalley on our servers. Increasing the speed and security of my clients website. I appreciate the link.
