I want to draw varying pattern(Instance to Vary) using a Curve Driven Pattern but I am not able to do it right, can anyone help me. Solid works and image files are attached with it or suggest me any other idea to do that #solid_works_2015
I don't think you can use "vary sketch" in curve driven pattern (I could be wrong). For your application you may just need linear pattern.
See the screen shot below. I've used dimension as the direction.
Because of the way the sketch is constrained, spheres will increase in dia along the path.
Hi Sachin Malenahalli Murigesh
Dimension as a direction is quite odd thing as i tried it is not working properly .can you please tell step by step procedure to do that...it will be a great help for me or if you can do video it will also do the same ///email@example.com///
I Hope I could do a tutorial. But tt's not possible due to time constraint Sorry.
Attached is an another file. You can study the rations between the revolve sketch and top & bottom splines.
For some reason the pattern is over defining the original sketch (I think because of constraints at the end). If it happens delete the pattern ans start again.
Do some basic tutorials to understand how vary sketch and patterns work
Thanks a lot I think now little practice will do my work..... once again thank you
or please attach your file
Here is my file.
Not the best fit but you can play around to get the shape you need. (But I still feel there is a better way)
thanx a lot Sachin
You may also check the attached part. Variable pattern can also be used. You may modify the dimensions to get required geometry.Abuzar Mustafa.
it is not opening because of future version error if possible please attach 2015 file
PFA 2015 file.
thanks a lot
