New user in need of a little help

I'm using one of my school's copies of Solidworks to do a personal project. I am nearly done, all that is left is to cut everything below the spline off. Unfortunately, I don't have any real idea how to do that. I cannot extrude cut it like I did the rest of this and all other cutting options are greyed out. I'm sure I'm doing something very wrong but I don't know enough about Solidworks to know what to search.

If anyone could help me figure it out or show me how to do it, I would be very grateful.

Your Sketches 1 and 2 are not fully defined?
Cut-Extrude1 results in non-uniform thickness.
Are you sure this is what you want rather than use the Shell command?

  LOL, I don't even try to download anyone's models any more unless I know that they are using SW 2015.

There are lots of different options.

1) sweep a surface along your spline. Then use the surface as a cutting tool with "Cut with Surface"

2) Create a split line using your spline onto both the inside and outside faces (inside might not work, may have to create a second spline), then delete face and patch fill.

3) Create this using surfaces instead of solids, use your spline to trim your surface, then thicken at the end to get your solid.

4).....there are lots more that I can't think of right now.

No download here, just looking at the picture J. Mathers is correct on under defined lines.

What I see from just the picture is your under defined spline is in construction line, will not work for a boundary of any kind that solidworks will recognize.

  Well, yes...there's that. I guess my wife is right....I can't see the shampoo bottle on the counter....not because it isn't there.....but because I just didn't notice it.....LOL

I agree you can add a surface to cut the part with but it seems to me, looking at the image, your spline needs to be a regular line not a construction line. There is also a short vertical black line that will need to be construction, not regular. Close your sketch by bringing the open end by the triangle underneath the triangle or it will get cut off as well. Good Luck

..as with the others... using your 3dspline.. split the surface.. and surface cut... so, you need to convert your 3dspline from a construction (and turn the others into construction).. then use your 3dspline to split the surfaces.. the, create a rulled surface "normal"... (each side).. .and knit them.. extend the surface edge outwards (because they are line/line.. it needs to extend past the body).. and surface cut.
