Hello;
Having a little trouble on how to model this inner cut. Mainly the middle portion. The outer portion is somewhat rectangular, while the most inner portion is a revolved feature, but the middle seems a more in between or whatever. Appreciate any thoughts.

I believe this would need to be generated with multibody techniques, or surfacing techniques. take a look in the help and give it a whirl, and come back with more questions.

A shop has sent this feature to add to a detail that we've designed. I have the features as an Imported dumb solid but it isn't a part of our SW part yet.

ok - then if you are OK with having an external reference in your SW part, here is one (of several) way to cut that specific shape;
Surface-Offset the inner surfaces at 0, then thicken the new surfaces at a certain thickness inward, do not merge.
Delete remainder body.
The inner surface is from revolved cut too. Below is the sketch (Minus the fillets) i get.
Seems to me like this is a homework assignment so I just post an image and instructions here
1) Revolve (cut) the the shape of the inner and outer profiles
2) Extrude (boss) from the bottom profile
3) add fillets and here is the result
or easy way as Jeremy suggested
1) offset (0) all inner surfaces
2) fill up the open surface
3) knit all surfaces and make it solid

Thanks for everyone's input. I had a feeling that perhaps this was done with simple feature tools which is what I usually use, but couldn't see it because of the fillets. I went with the offset surface zero knit, & then made a body as I have used that before. ( There are several ways as Jeremy stated). I then inserted the body into the part & did a combine/subtract to remove it. I always like the parametric aspects but don't believe we need to worry about this feature changing much. How much a part of the actual model does this become? Do I have to be concerned that each time we send out this file, I need to include the part that was subtracted, or is that internal as well as external. Will these function in our work pdm, & pdm pro we're getting next month?

Are you sending the part as a parasolid or step?
If so, then you don't need to worry about links and such.
If you are sending the native CAD data, then use "Pack and Go" and flatten the structure to a single zip file. Then send the zip file.
