I wanted to use the exploded view for my pen assembly, but it's adding both unexploded and exploded view. How do I add just the exploded view?
Select each view and check off Exploded View box.
Just delete the views you don't want. I see a front and side view and an isometric exploded view. Delete the front and side views. You can pick them from the feature manager or you can click on the drawing just outside the object lines for one of the views. RMB should give you a delete option.
It shows both as the same view. Not different views overlapping each other.
When you first bring a model into a drawing, make sure the create multiple views is unchecked.
May want to modify your drawing template to see if you can get that unchecked by default. Not sure if that is a template option or not.
It's unchecked on mine
One suggestion, if you would not mind. I strongly encourage you to take the SOLIDWORKS Essentials course. You will learn in 4 days more than what you could learn in 1 year on your own.
Where is the solidworks essentials course?
The Essentials course is offered by VARs that sell SWX. Even if you take that class you should first take advantage of the excellent tutorials built-in to SWX. Just go to Help -> SOLIDWORKS TUTORIALS. Do not just take a quick look at the subjects and blow past them. DO THEM and you will dramatically improve your skill.
You have asked a lot of questions here on the forum and have gotten a lot of good help. However, probably 90% of your questions would not have been asked if you had diligently gone through the tutorials.
If you want to breath the same air as your instructor, contact your closest VAR.
Otherwise, choose a date from here: Javelin Online Live Training (JOLT) for SolidWorks 3D CAD Courses, or from other websites that offer this course online.
And do all the tutorials that come with Solidworks.
