We get models from a customer that are really bad. They almost always come in as surfaces with tons of errors. The latest has 67 faulty faces and 1513 gaps between faces. I've tried repairing faces and it fails miserably after many minutes of just trying a single face. The what's wrong popup simply says "basic geometry error" or something similarly unhelpful.
In other software there are settings for accuracy when doing this task. I can't find anything in Solidworks. Is there such a setting? And if not, how do I deal with this giant file running on a crappy system and fix the faces?
BTW, before I started this thread I tried to heal the first face and it's still crunching along without success.
