This is supposed to be part of my pen, but there are many lines missing.
A quick search on the forum, and thanks to Alin Vargatu, go to the Insert drop down at the top. Select model items, and in reference geometry select surfaces.
Drawing won't work without the part/assembly included, but I'd check the display state your drawing is using and make sure things aren't hidden within your part for that display state.
I haven't changed the display state at all that I know of.
Right click the view and select make tangent lines visible..
I don't see that option
Make sure you're right-clicking within the view.
Can you post your part here? is it a spring?
It's the bottom part
Question is: do you want to show the surface edge on the 2D dwg?
This is the result when you select surfaces in the model items dialog box, something I wasn't aware of until today, definitely good to know now!
Its not to show or to show the edges of the surfaces
My point is: should the edges of the surfaces be shown on the 2D drawing?
I get your point now, I guess that's purely up to the creator of the drawing and what the end use for the drawing will be. Whether or not it should or shouldn't be, the main goal was figuring out if it could or couldn't be!
it's what I tried to fix the 3D model since it's included both solid and surface and Eric tried to create a 2D dwg from it
I made few changes on your 3D model, now all edges is shown
