Joe, From looking at your image and description it is correct. To be able to use symmetry in Simulation, two conditions have to be met. First the model has to be symmetric, the other half has to be a mirror image of your half. The second is loading symmetry. The other half has to be loaded just like your half. That being said, if you applied a force, you would apply 1/2 the total force. A pressure load would be the full pressure since you only have half the surface area.
