Bad Solidworks performance on laptop

Hi, I'm running a student edition of Solidworks 2015 and the performance is EXTREMELY slow. Even when I have nothing built in my brand new part file, the cursor lags, it's terrible to work in sketch mode, etc.

Laptop specs:

MSI GE62 2QD

Nvidia GTX960M

Intel Core i7

I think those are all the specs I need. When I run Solidworks RX this is what shows up:

I've tried changing the graphics card that Solidworks uses to the Intel built-in graphics, but solidworks Rx doesn't seem to recognize this and always says that I'm using the Nvidia card. I also understand that the GE62 isn't a certified laptop. Are there any suggestions for making this work?
