yes, ive been looking at those i guess my application is a bit unique i am attempting to suspend a sheet metal base plate in a box giving the components on the base plate less vibration.

Check out this stuff, it's not a grommet but it's properties are amazing. Santoprene is the name.
After I posted I saw you added a picture, I assume your using a spacer in the groove to accommodate a larger grommet or bolt. I have always found that they became less resilient as they became larger. Always equals two times in this example.
