hello to all.
I looking for modo texture for styling hair gel. i looking in the Luxology portal but i can see a similar texture for styling gel.
i looking some texture with bubbles inside.
can anybody help me?
You could simply model the random bubble shapes. I few random bubbles and the use of the appearances combined may add to the texture. I did a model about 5 years ago just messing around to use for a screensaver that may give you some ideas. I have attached the file for you to look at. It ended up working out pretty well once completely rendered in the right orientation.
This is very hard to do in Solidworks and after all the trouble it wont end up looking natural.
I suggest blender for this.
Here is a link suggesting the procedure for water bubbles.
[SOLVED] Air bubble in water?
Thank you very much for your answer.
I know that it is very difficult to do and that it may not look natural. But I want to try.
I'll see your link and comment later.
Have you tried creating your own .p2m file? Click browse under appearance file path when editing the appearance in advanced. Open an image file, then it will prompt you to save as a .p2m file. Then all you would need to do is adjust the mapping.
Hi benjamin, thanks for respond.
I use your method, I think it's interesting. But the result is still not what I expect.
I will continue to do tests.
..I do not... but you might try to combine/overlay some of the modo assets?... otherwise.. buy modo and create a custom asset?
Really try to do what you mention. But I did not find an asset that would help my purpose.
There are plenty of textures there that contain bubbles & might suit your needs. Whether you can edit them to exactly what you want I don't know, some appearances you can, some not.
Here are a few I found:
Blue Frosted Glass
I actually have all the textures you mention.
But the bubbles are only present in the sample image. When I apply the texture to a solid bubbles are not present in the final result.
The only one that presents variation is the smooth water. But I do not find the final result very good.
I will keep trying
Looks REAL !!!
I would love to see the final result... Did you know that a glass bottle or vessel looks better if you have the center portion (contents) and the glass separated just a small tiny bit, so what I have done already is created a small offset from the inside of the glass container and pasted a jpeg on to that surface and left the glass being just SW Glass Appearance...
Yes, I knew it.
I would also love to see the final result. LOL I'm still fighting with the gel of the bottle.
I think this is the best solution but the most difficult to do.
I am satisfied with the result, I think I can still improve it.
Many thanks for the example and thank you all for taking the time to respond.
Miguel.. it came out very nice!...
I had to play with Derek Parks..bubbles.. what is it about.. bubbles..?
I try another render. i like more .
