I can not see any RealView button.
SolidWorks 2016 SP 3.0
Windows 7 64-bit, 8 GB RAM
Grafik card: NVIDIA Quadro K2000
Grafik card driver: 377.11
There are only 4 functions under the menu. The first function "RealView" is missing? Why?
Can you post a screen shot of your tools>options>assembly
Do mean this?
just want to confirm: you mean the RealView Graphics is missing from the pulldown menu - see below image?
How big is your assembly, I mean how many components ?
Can you see the RealView graphics in other assemblies ?
Your GC driver may be too new for SW 2016.
Your graphics driver is much newer than the recommended driver supplied by SolidWorks here (SOLIDWORKS - Graphics Card Drivers). You may want to start by downloading the recommended version for your system and installing that. Given the information you list about your machine either of these drivers would work:
Since these are older than your current driver and would not overwrite the newer driver I would recommend you do this to downgrade to one of these recommended drivers:
If RealView does not become available then there are various options to check within the program. First, you would check that 'Use software OpenGL' is not enabled under 'Tools', 'Options', 'System Options', 'Performance'. If it is enabled you would want to try closing all your files then disabling it (it cannot be toggled with files open).
If RealView is still not available then you would want to check that 'Large Assembly Mode' is not enabled under the 'Tools' menu. If it is, just disable it and see if RealView then becomes active.
thank you very much for you feedback.
Before the situation was like this:
Then I did like you recommended.
My current graphics driver is now: 354.56
But the result is still the same in SolidWorks 2016.
I also checked the 'Use Software OpenGL' checkbox. It is not ticked.
And I also do not have a large assembly.
I am helpless, because on my older notebook Fujitsu CELSIUS H270 (Win7, 64-bit) with the same SolidWorks version
and the graphic card Quadro FX 770M (driver 186.56) the RealView button is available and working.
This is strange ...
if you're using an approve graphics card driver and your real view is missing then go to OPTION, PERFORMANCE, see if OPENGL is checked then if yes Close all solidworks files open then return to OPTION, PERFORMANCE, then unchecked OPENGL
The only other thing that comes to mind that would cause this is if the monitor for the computer were plugged into the integrated video port on the motherboard and not the discrete graphics card (Quadro K2000). Integrated graphics like this would shut off the RealView as an option in the way you are seeing here.
I use only one DisplayPort cable from the NVIDIA Quadro K2000 graphics card to the monitor (ASUS MG24UQ).
The integrated DVI graphic port INTEL HD4400 is deactivated in the BIOS.
if your problem is not solve run solidworks rx diagnostic to see if solidworks recognize your graphics card
The SolidWorks Diagnostic says everything ok. The graphics card will be supported and the driver is actual.
Did you go - Tools/Add Ins and select from the list to add??
