Design table won't let me select recently added part configurations. How do I make it recognize these configurations?

I have an assembly that uses a part file (this file has many configurations). I added some new configurations to the part file, but now I can't select those configurations in the assembly design table. I can't select them in the dropdown or by manually typing them. It only shows about 1/4 of the configurations in the design table. I can however go to the part file and see all the configurations, and I can even manually select them in the assembly by right clicking and going to properties (this is very time consuming).

I've tried restarting, deleting the design table and starting from scratch, getting a coworker to try on a different machine. I'm still running SW 2013, with no hope for upgrading any time soon.

Any clue how to get solidworks to recognize these new configurations?
