I can't seem to figure out why the two surfaces can't be knit. I'm trying to knit the surfaces so that they can be thickened together
Anyt tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance
Another work around.
After you split the face, do 'delete face'. then do surface loft. You can easily knit surfaces.
In your current model the error during 'knit' is something do to with the edges shared by the surfaces. But I'm not an expert, just thinking out loud.
Attached 2015 version.
Strange - As far as I can see it should be able to knit. But anyway here is a workaround that works for me.
Use the Split feature to split the large round surface (use Front Plane as tool). Then knit the small protrusion to one half of the large surface and finally knit the whole thing together. That means use two knit features.
Thank you for your suggestion,
the split feature is grayed out rn
It might be your version. It is relative new to be able to split surface bodies. Try to copy body and trim away one and the other side respectively.
Thank you for the help! I really appreciate it.
Thank you, I gave it a go and it worked!
