Ok I am going to attempt to word this correctly.  Sometimes when saving a part in an assembly I can save as an parasolid or step etc. and it gives me the option to save just the highlighted component.  When it does that's great and works perfectly so that I can detail just that plate or component. A lot of files I don't get that option even appearing when I have just one component visible and highlighted and it still wants to save the entire assembly. This is a pain and makes it difficult to make prints of just single plates.  What can I do to save parts out of assemblies separately successfully?
