In 2D sketch we can make spline handle perpendicular to a line. Why we can not make 3D spline handle normal to a plane? But we make line normal to a plane and then set spline handle parallel to this line.
Ivan... I've witnessed this same behavior using 2016 and 2017... and 2017 is probably the worse.... I get a flickered window,.. and sometimes I can see some of the menu/window but, they are gone!?
The GUI Team has failed again.. sorry to be crass, but honestly,.. SW Corp are NOT addressing these issues.
Thank you Paul, but why you are talking about some failure, was a such functionality before? I just wonder about how other make a spline normal to a plane.
Ivan... I'm complaining about something similar... where the contraints menu flickers off/on when making a selection.
Anyhow.. .for your problem.. I'd suggest.. .while in 3dSketch.. make a construction line perpendicular to the plane.. and then apply your spline that line and make it tangent. (image attached)
O, sorry it was misleading: 2 last pictures mean that we have ability to constraint in 2d but not in 3d.
Ivan... it was my error in not fully reading what you wrote....
..we do NOT have the "direct" ability to perpendicularly constrain a 3D Spline to a plane..
..we have a "indirect" (workaround) way to perpendicularly constrain the 3D Spline via a tangency to a 3D Line with a perpendicular constraint.
o, yeap. Thank you Paul! I've got.
