Is there a reason that SW decided to use the actual head thickness of fasteners for the depths of the counterbored holes. I realize the the hole wizard & toolbox are used together but why do we have to add clearance into the depth of the counterbore. That should be figured into the standard out of the box depth callout. Either that or if you're going to make that the normal allow the user to enter a default head clearance setting that's part of the hole wizard settings and NOT default back to 0.00 every time. Yes you can go in and update the hole wizard hole depth database but should not have to do that every time a new version or sometimes even a new service pack comes out that updates the hole wizard data.
HI John,
Save your hole wizard database to a place other than the default install dir. Then go into system options > hole wizard / toolbox and point it to the new dir. then run a copy settings wizard and save your settings.
I'd actually do that with all your file templates etc as well. Then when you do a new install, run copy settings wizard to restore and you're hot to trot.
