My photo view 360 render from my uni work has turned out blurry I have attached an image of the preview, any ideas what is wrong?
Change your settings here
I've already tried changing the settings but it always looks awful, do you really not think it looks wrong?
Take a snap shot of your settings and post them - yeah it doesn't look good ....
here are my settings
Try changing to "Maximum Render Quality" instead of Good - your size is rather small as well- see below
no it hasn't made any difference, still just the same
Have you turned direct caustics on? If so, try turning it off.
Also, if you're using textured appearances? be sure to scale them correctly. Turn advanced on at the top of the appearance dialog, then mapping and knock the size down. Do this with the preview window open to get live updates.
It looks like you're in the preview window which is set to Good. Have you done a Final Render yet?
That's exactly what it is -
..both John, Bjorn and Steve have hit on what I would also guess...
I'd add, that the Spot Light maybe doing this and maybe the Focus has been set and (+spot light) creates some fuzz?
..otherwise.. post the file/scene (less your watch and/or replace watch with similar sized basic block)
I tend to do a quick render first before adding any lights and using the preview window doesn't do that any justice.
..personally , the preview window does not help me at all... I'd rather there was a option we had to remove it.
It only slows everything to a crawl, worse thing with rendering 360......
yep,.. as is,.. it's a hog...there has to be a better way.
There is Visualize - rather than 360V -
..will need to deploy anti-visualize space ships!
Ha, the only reason why I use it is to center the frame.
Try using camera's to set up your view, they're far more reliable.
I like using the preview window. I keep it open to adjust my lighting and scene. Before doing low res test renders and then final renders.
I've also noticed that using Aluminum material will give you very grainy looking results.
