I don't know how often the admins look at the forums, but I'll just put up this suggestion. I often find the answer to my question by reading several answers, not just one. There should be an option to mark multiple answers correct.
Agreed. At least a new option "Answer is helpful" for multiple answers/opinions.
I think that was taken out a while back because people kept marking that - instead of the "Correct Answer" (or some other selection) - so it was removed to prevent the confusion.
I do like the Multiple correct answers thought.
I'm thinking about information and ideas could be useful and applicable in similar situations.
"Like" is just symbol of emotion.
Then maybe it should be a "Useful Suggestion" button
Top notch idea that one Rick
As an author of the thread, you can copy all correct replies into one and make it corect
It may be considered as copyright violation...
Just pick the one which you think was close or more informative
I think it'd be more informative not only to the person who asked the question but for others who search for it
Combining all answer at one would be a good source of info. of how to do thing with diff. ways
I prefer it when the author replies with absolute babble and then marks themselves correct.
Think the options in this thread would work, are they not available? I am now a validator!
I would like to be a Valinator also. Seems I need to helpful to get there...
P.S. Eric, at you earliest convenience, kindly mark my Helpful reply as the Correct Answer.
Got ya covered there Rick
Well this is embarrassing... How do I mark someone's answer helpful? I know I need to be the author, but where the heck is the button for that?
LOL - just to show you how screwed up the forum is and the forum point system is, I can only mark my "Own" replies as helpful, not yours, just mine, get it...
It's just a game we're playing, we try to help you feel good about yourself despite your (perceived) inadequacies.
Or summarizes/repeats everything the correct person just wrote and then marks themselves as correct.
Dan, what really peeves me off is when someone just recaps what some poster wrote and them marks themselves as the right answer.
That really does "peeve me off" too. Oh, how creative we have become to get things by the PC police.
It looks like the special SW permission is required....
