Redering with decals

I am completely new rendering. I have a part where i put a decal on the face of the part. when i render the Decal does not show. i am still using solidworks 08. Is there a setting i am forgetting to click that will allow me to reder the image with the decal on the model?

i am sorry if this has been answered before, as i was scrolling down i could not find the answer to my question.
