Is there a way to convert a 3D sketch to a 2D sketch in a hole feature?

I am working in an old model and ALL of the hole features were created with a 3D sketch for positioning the holes.

Yet the holes are all on the same plane, so the 3D sketch was unnecessary.

I need to change the plane some of these holes are on, as the hole callout is incorrect, but I can't figure out how.

In a 2D sketch you can use the Edit Sketch Plane command.

3D sketches don't have this option.

I have been forced to just recreate the hole features, but that is a pain as they are tied to other features and I have to find child/parent relations and break up families and that is just time consuming and awful. I dislike working in someone else's model, but I have to since the parts were drawn up in 2007.

It would be great if there was a way to convert the 3D sketch to a 2D sketch... is there?
