I am working on detailing drawings, and I would like to be able to click on a particular view in a drawing's model tree and then browse down through the part/assembly displayed in that view and have it display the relevant dimensions for that feature/part.  I know that I can use the Model Items tool and click on the feature in the view, but I have not had much luck with going straight to the model tree.  It just seems more accurate to me to click on the particular sketch that holds the dimensions you are interested in than to try to select it from a drawing view where it might not be super clear what features you are trying to select.  I would love to know of some sort of right click- show the dimensions option.

Does anything like this exist?

How should I be pulling up dimensions for various features?  I am coming from a ProE background where I could just right click and add all of the dimensions for whatever feature I was looking at (whole assembly all the way down to sketches and planes).  Fighting with the selection tool just seems so unelegant and I figure there is probably a better way that I am just unaware of.

Edit:  Clarified that this is working on detailing a drawing.
