I've been crashing alot lately and I believe it's due to the helical threads in my assemblies. I really like the Thread Command in 2016 but a simplified thread option would be nice. Is it there and I'm not seeing it?

The Hole Wizard doesn't make External Threads does it?
No it doesn't.
I think it SHOULD. (Hole Wizard would be a misnomer, but I think it should do external threads as well)
You mean cosmetic threads.
Cosmetic threads only, I never use the helical cut threads.
Insert>annotation>cosmetic threads.
Thanks Paul, this will work. I'd really prefer a revolved cut with the thread profile option tho. Maybe someday. But the Cosmetic Thread should cut my crashes down in the mean time.
I don't know. The Cosmetic Thread will be OK for the drawing but I really need to see something on the part. I may go ahead and just Revolve Cut for now.
how about this:
stud on the left is with cosmetic thread and one on the right is without it.
To have it displayed like that go to options-document properties-detailing , in there select in display filters option first on the right top 'Shaded cosmetic threads'
