I just purchased a 3D SpaceMouse (3Dconnexion) and am unable to use it in SolidWorks due to the mouse not recognizing SW. I have SW 2017.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Have you rebooted since installing the driver, just to make sure Windows & SW have seen it?
R u sure the driver is up to date ?
Yes. I installed the 3DxWare 10 for Windowns (64-bit) version 10.4.10. That is the latest driver available.

What happen to the SW 3D model when you push, pull, tilt and twist the controller cap? and how's about keys on the mouse
If nothing response, please check to make sure the 3D mouse is connected to to SW as Stevan mentioned
Check tools>Addins... and roll down to the other Add-ins to see if the mouse is there - see below image
Also can you check with other applications
My model will move vertically (scrolling) because my 3D mouse recognizes the last program I was in (i.e Google Chrome). I checked the add-ins and the "3DControl" is not listed. If I view the settings to set the keys, it doesn't recognize SW so I can't set keys for SW.
I restarted SW and now it recognized it. Problem solved. Thanks for your help everyone.
Did you turn on the 3d input add on in solidworks?
It is not available to select.
