I am running SW2016 using Windows 10. I have a Dell Precision m2800 with Firepro 4100. It just starting running slow when I installed SW2016. Is there some sort of setting I need to change? What can I do?
Andre,, others, including myself) have had similar issues with other graphics cards. Perhaps the same thing is happening with you. You may have had an automatic update to your graphics driver causing this. If you have had a recent update to your driver see if you can roll it back to the previous version. It worked for me with a gtx.
Edit:.. or in your case perhaps you need to update your driver.
How can I roll it back?
I am currently showing two display cards in my device manager
When I click on my video card in the device manager I get the option to roll back. But,, before you do that (if you can) try running SOLIDWORKS Rx and see what that tells you about your video card.
Edit:.. This is what the Rx looks like when you run diagnostics. Note that it is telling me that I should update to the latest driver and gives me the option to do so.
It gives me a graphic card test error
Perhaps you should check out the http. Looks like your card may not be tested and approved. Not sure at this point. Anyway, thanks to you I did update my driver and, for me, things seem to be working well.
try running in openGL to see if there is improvement,
I appreciate all of the feedback. I unchecked the box for, "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and it runs nice and smooth.
