I have introduced a simple inexpensive partner product to SOLIDWORKS Simulation called "ResultChecker".at www.stressRefine.com.
It estimates the accuracy of your simulation stresses and recommends if a mesh control might be needed. In addition, it checks for singularities near the point of maximum stress which may render the results physically meaningless. Reentrant corners, and loads, restraints, connections that cause singularities are directly checked for. This is a different (and complementary) approach to "hot spot detection" in SOLIDWORKS Simulation (which looks for excessive stress jumps between adjacent elements).
I am not looking to make a profit off this product, I'd give it away, but I need paying customers to achieve SOLIDWORKS Solution Partner status. (Stressrefine is currently a research associate partner).
