Is it possible to get a list count from a populated list box or combo box on a userform. I have a list of assembly files in a folder, i would like to shoe the user the File count.
Ok, i was able to populate a "textbox" but not a "label" using:
TextBox2.Text = ListBoxOutput.ListCount
But .text or .value are not avail on a label.... can you say workaround it....i'll use a textbox
You mean .listcount ???
Yes,i believe listcount is what I'm after. Everything i find is either MSAccess or Excel. And pretty vague in description & application.
You can find most of the basic stuff from your macro Visual Basic Reference
Pretty much same as VBA for Excel or VB6 which you can search online
or go to local library they can give you free book of VB6
I've dabbled in VBA for years, i was referring to "getting" the listcount & using it is a label to show the user the listcount of the items the listbox. I've done it before (maybe with a status & not a count, but)...guess i search all my old code for it.
how's about label.caption = cstr(ListBoxOutput.ListCount)
Ya, forgot about caption, it would have worked to.. for some reason I forgot that text wasn't available and most of the stuff I had Googled didn't list the write-to type.
thanks for the help
