I am trying to work out how to create an embossed feature that will wrap around the top and sides of a cylinder based object. I realised the wrap feature I dont think can do this. Can someone please how I achieve this?
I have attached an image of a similar bottle cap that has a sticker or part on top of the bottle cap wrapped around it, and also attched a sketch to what I am wanting to wrap on top or and around my cap to achieve this.

Create your sketch on plane 2 or 3, you can project the sketch or create a split line, then either 'knit surface' or 'offset surface' the required faces. Then you can thicken the surface you created.
Thanks for the reply guys. However I am not so knowledgeable on Solidworks and not sure exactly what you mean.
I tried using the split line as per you suggested and this gives me the surfaces but it doesnt give me the bottom where the sticker would overhang off the cap. So I have got those surfaces but I dont know what to do now after that.
So its not possible to create an emboss around the cylinder instead?
I have attached the part though. If you could kindly show me perhaps it might be easier so I can see what you did to achieve it rather than explaining it to me as I might not understand what you are suggesting

Alex,.. I'll post what I think you want to do... btw,.. personallly, I do not think the Wrap should be used for your X feature.. so I removed it.. and then copy/surface and trim the label shape.. thicken and add the "M" split..

However how do I achieve so that the sticker over the cap goes down below the cap as per in this picture? Thanks
Because the sticker ie being used as a sealer of the bottle.
..Extend Surface ..select the bottom edge of the 'Surface-Offset1' cylinder.
Thanks for the reply again but Extend Surface is not available (its grayed out) I tihnk due to the Thicken Surface feature. I deleted that but then I can only do this and it adds to all sides and not just the bottom of it. Thanks again.
Alex,.. you need to rollback on your history tree to "Surface-Offset1".. and then "Extend_Surface" ..select botton edge..

Hi Paul, is there anyway to get that sticker part to wrap/stick onto the bottle that its attached to? Meaning its a sticker that sticks on the bottle cap and also needs to stick onto the bottle as well. For example in the picture. I removed the Surface Extend since that is not relevant to the cap. The bottle and cap are in an assemlby and are individual parts.
Or do I need I need to import the sketch of the sticker into the bottle part and do another split line and make a surface out of it?
