How do I rotate "vector image 2D?
I want to be able to use the same vector image three times (image of a sealant gun tool) on three places, and need to have the images rotated to make the most sense.
..also, is it possible to mirror a 2D image?

That would in the end create a massive library of tools.
So I'm guessing that it would be wiser to use a 3D model of the sealant gun instead? Since those I can position, rotate and scale however I wish..
I would use 3D Models as much as possible for what you are describing. I find it gives a much better end look when everything is 3D instead of some items being flat. Honestly if you wanted that you could do it in post production anyway solving all of your questions. It's much easier to rotate, mirror, etc in Indesign or some such program then dealing with it in Composer anyway IMO.

Yes, we also use 3D models whenever possible. Like @Derek mentioned it, the overlay stuff you can do pretty easy in post production.

I forgot to answer the second question. Create your 2D image and then go to the properties and
edit the values of "width" and "height" to a negative number.
But it seems like you can't position and select the image in the viewport anymore after that step. So maybe it's best to have all your
graphical elements set up the right way before importing in Composer.

there is no possibility to rotate a 2D vector image in Composer.
You have to edit the SVG-file in a separate software and save your rotated versions in an extra SVG-file.
