I need to create an inspection report from a drawing but can't find where to do it.
The actual name escapes me at the moment but I believe you need to have SW "Inspection" which is an add-in product to do inspection reports. I do not believe it is something that can be done in an automated fashion without the add-in.
You mean a first article report?
Pardon my lack of understanding, but what do you mean by "Inspection Report"? Are you wanting to indicate dimensions on the drawing that should be used when making an inspection? Would you then want a sheet on the drawing that would ask to note the dimensions actually read from the part when inspected?
If that is what you desire then it is my understanding that the the symbol indicated in the first screen shot indicates "inspection dimension". The second screen shot shows the icon that shows when you create a dimension. you will need to select this icon to get to the first menu.
As for the check sheet, I am not aware of any such functionality. I would start a second sheet and create a note with all of the desired text and check off boxes. That note can then be saved as a block to be inserted where ever it is needed.
But this is all just a guess.
I guess this is a report which will be sent to the vendor who manufactures the part so they can see the dim called on the dwg vs dim measured on the first articles
You would need SOLIDWORKS Inspection to create report.
