Hi,
I like to overright my previous version file without getting revised.
Is it any way possible to select required version (or last version) during checkin operations in order to avoid genarating newer version to file while checkin?

- Is there any possibility to delete particular version ?
lets say I have version1, version2, version3, If I want to delete only version2 and keep version1 and version3, is it possible ? and how ?
- How can I delete particular revision ? for instance : if I want to delete Revision A and I want to keep all the rest
Version1 (OK)
Version2 (OK)
Version3 (OK)
- REV A (to be deleted)
Version4 (OK)
Version5 (OK)
REV B (OK)
Anybody knows how to do it ?
thanks
i have 1,2,3,4...10 can i roolback only 4 and keep 1,2,3,5 to 10?
because its important to reduce some size from the archive server
I found out how to do it but the problem is you can't choose particular version, you must start from the most recent or the most previous versions
you must start from the Maximum or from the Minimum
this could explains better :
Version1 (you can start deleting from here)
Version2 (you can't delete this version without deleting v1)
Version3 (you can't delete this version without deleting v1 and v2 or v4 and rev.A)
Rev A (you can't delete this reversion without deleting v4)
Version4 (you can start deleting from here)
- you can delete version4 and rev A by roll-back.
- you can delete version1 and version2 by setting a cold storage schema.
if your question is what to do after setting cold schema.. here i the answer
the cold schema will delete the previous versions upon the defined schedule .
please take a look at the screenshot which i attached in the previous reply
if you have ideas or questions let us know..

I can be dangerous becasue some new guy could come in and start overwriting things that he shouldn't
I don't know much about API
but I hope someone in the forum could help .

it makes no sence. ?
why would you use cold storage, if you can't restore cold storge data.
it makes no sence ?
Why not buy some more storage ?
it makes sence.
But at the same time, for a company as large as mine, I've been wondering just how long we'll be able to run without having major issues with storage on the archive server. In theory, you could just keep adding servers and adding servers.. but yikes.. eventually that's just going to be insane.
In the "old" days Conisio 5 (i guess) the it was the BIT diff. there were saved.
But not anymore
That is no longer true. It was the case in the very early days of Conisio, but, has not been that way for quite some time.

But I agree with the rest when they say that this is a BAD idea. the system is there to record you document history.
