I'm sure there are a lot of users out there tha have used a
options file with their SNL. I've never had any issues, but now we
have 3 locations on our SNL and i want to create a options file and
was wondering if anyone would like to share a few examples.

So TIMEOUT isn't group specific? It will apply to everyone, correct..?
Here's the document that explains the options.
http://files.solidworks.com/Su...nsingenduserguide.pdf
I'm also looking at using the INCLUDE command rather than EXCLUDE for tighter security on the licenses.
Jason,
How does SolidWorks handle the TIMEOUT feature of the options file?
For example, say I have a user that has an assembly open in SolidWorks, but steps away from his desk and ends up being gone for an extended period of time - beyond the timeout limit that is set in the options file.
I'm assuming SolidWorks remains open on the user's desktop, but the license is stripped. When the user returns and begins to use SolidWorks will it "re-check-out" the license? What happens if all licenses are in use? Does it give the user the option to save his work?
Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kevin
Jason or anyone else,
We used the timeout option with our SWX2006 NET licenses and it worked well.
Just upgraded to SWX2010 and trying to implement the TIMEOUT, but the license file is not acknowleding the contents of the option file.
Would you mind looking at the contents of our Option, Log & License files and let me know whether there is something wrong with the syntex of the files.
The log file says it is using the options file, but later on it says that it can't read the same file.

Would you consider posting the lines from your license file that relate to your options file?
I too would be interested in seeing SWX2010 examples that are working.
Gary.
