today my solidworks 2017
is running very slow
Most users that have seen major slowdowns are using untested/unsupported Geforce cards.
See the technical alert from March 8th here:
Technical Alerts & News | SOLIDWORKS
And also see this thread:
Slow performance with GTX960m in SW2016
I hope this helps,
Thanks a lot for your answer
Problem is that my video card is an Nvidia quadro M4000 which is recommended for solidworks
SW worked very well until today.
I really don't know what to do
Have you run SOLIDWORKS Rx to see if the recommended driver is being run? It could be that Windows or NVIDIA automatically did a driver update and that driver is causing problems. You can also go to SOLIDWORKS Rx and run in the Software Open GL safe mode to troubleshoot. This will bypass your graphics card and use the CPU to calculate the graphics instead. While it shouldn't be faster than a supported card and driver, if it is faster than running without the safe more, it almost guarantees there is something wrong with the graphics card or driver itself.
See this document about safe mode.
SolidWorks Rx - The Computer Doctor Is In
As you suggested i run SolidWorks Rx , diagnostics result ask me to upgrade the Graphic Card(NVidia quadro) with "375.63-quadro-grid-desktop-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql"
I made the upgrade after that and worked OK.
Problem is that every morning i start the computer Solidworks run slow again and each day i need to RUN that graphic card application
Thank you very much
