Dual FX 570 or Single FX 1700

I have a dual monitor setup, and I've been reading a lot of dual graphics card configurations, and that it improves performance for dual displays.

This two options come about even in price:

A single FX 1700
or Dual FX 570s

This is for a XP x64 System.

Adrian,

The jury is still out on my system with the dual FX570's. I have not had a chance to test it yet in a production environment driving two monitors. I still have the workstation hooked up to just a single monitor.

This is a company local to me whom I have purchased a graphics card from before. It might change your decision a little if you dont mind a used product with warranty.

I went for a single FX1700 with a similar system to Anna's, just with a slower processor. Anna do you have a 1700 you could throw in there to benchmark? that way we could see exactly what boost the i-965 has over the i-940 when I get my system in.

    over the holiday break I was planning on trying 2 - fx1700 in one system (not sli). I also have a fx3400 to compare in the same system. @ work i have a fx5600 too. if the results are interesting, i'll post them.
