What does minimum twist mean?
Maha.... they changed Sweep in 2016 and added a few other options.. so I believe the help description also changed or omitted some information.. btw, my screen capture was from 2015 help.
..but, yes,..."minimum twist" is doing a much better or near expected twist along path then the older default (which could be chaotic).. and/also,. I believe "minimum twist" is now the default setting for 2017.
(per your above vague statement)... I agree.. there is NO realtive explanation or definition between the default (older) sweep algorithm and the optional (newer) "minimum" algorithm. It's possible, an offical statement from SW Corp exist... some where?
I use 2016-2017 student edition. Explanation is different in my one. Anyhow I couldn’t see any relevancy between the tool and both its explanation.
You can test yourself for this option
Draw a ridiculous large 2D profile and a 3D sketch for path including small bent compare to the profile and then apply swept feature
“Minimum” is a comparative term if you have maximum only you can decide what is minimum, here it is vague.
