how do I take a snapshot
I use snipping tool for snapshot and cam studio for screen recording which I can have option for a region (small avi file) where "Record Video" including with SW take whole screen (make the avi file too big to post on the forum)
Christian Chu to the Cam Studio link that you posted and I got this:
"Access to the web page was blocked.
The web page is on the list of websites with potentially dangerous content."
According to ESET Antivirus.
I use the PrtScn/SysRq button on my keyboard to copy my screen, open Paint, and Ctrl+V to paste it. Add arrows, text, etc as needed, use the Selection tool to draw a box around the area I want, Ctrl+C, go to the Forum post (or email) and Ctrl+V.
I used to do the same exact thing. Worked fine for me, but then my boss suggested I get Snagit - I thought it seemed unnecessary until I actually started using it. I ended up liking it so much that I bought a copy of it for my own personal use (I think it was in the ballpark of $20 or something). Now I don't know what I would do without it.
I used to use the Print Screen keyboard function but I've found the Windows 10 Snipping tool is simpler & faster.
..for what it's worth.. everyone has their fav.. and for me.. it's PicPick - by NGWIN, All-in-one design tool, Screen Capture, Image Editor, Color Picker, Pixel Ruler and More
I used "snipping tool" from windows for a quick snapshot; however, there is one feature including in the SW - see below image
