how do I take a snapshot
I used "snipping tool" from windows for a quick snapshot; however, there is one feature including in the SW - see below image
snapshot of what?
I use greenshot:
I use snipping tool for snapshot and cam studio for screen recording which I can have option for a region (small avi file) where "Record Video" including with SW take whole screen (make the avi file too big to post on the forum)
Christian Chu to the Cam Studio link that you posted and I got this:
"Access to the web page was blocked.
The web page is on the list of websites with potentially dangerous content."
According to ESET Antivirus.
I used cam studio for yrs and am not sure if it's contained virus ???
Here is more info
I had been using Cam studio for a long time now and never had issues accessing their website.
Could be your IT restrictions. I can upload the installation file on Dropbox if you need.
Thx for confirmation, Deepak !
No thanks, Deepak. I will ask my IT about it first. I should go that route anyway. *grin* They don't like when I install my own software.
Greenshot rocks. Light weight, user friendly, fast, lot of functionalities and open source!!
I use the PrtScn/SysRq button on my keyboard to copy my screen, open Paint, and Ctrl+V to paste it. Add arrows, text, etc as needed, use the Selection tool to draw a box around the area I want, Ctrl+C, go to the Forum post (or email) and Ctrl+V.
I used to do the same exact thing. Worked fine for me, but then my boss suggested I get Snagit - I thought it seemed unnecessary until I actually started using it. I ended up liking it so much that I bought a copy of it for my own personal use (I think it was in the ballpark of $20 or something). Now I don't know what I would do without it.
I used to use the Print Screen keyboard function but I've found the Windows 10 Snipping tool is simpler & faster.
I started using snipping tool from windows vista and love it since
this was my first snip sending the drawing on my next question about a hole table
..for what it's worth.. everyone has their fav.. and for me.. it's PicPick - by NGWIN, All-in-one design tool, Screen Capture, Image Editor, Color Picker, Pixel Ruler and More
