Hi Every One
How do I get more standard structural members with out drawing them one by one
Start a new Part file, then, assuming you have SW Toolbox, activate the Toolbox toolbar and click on the Structural Steel icon. That will open the dialog box shown below. Select the desired profile and click on the Create button. That will insert a sketch of the selected profile. You'll probably need to edit it to place it where you want in relation to the Origin. After closing the sketch, select it and Save as sldlfp. See #8 at Frequently Asked Forum Questions for more information.
I haven't used weldments - yet... I know Toolbox... But where is this lovely toolbox toolbar to be located?
View --> Toolbars --> Toolbox
That's the normal process.... but mine with TB turned on... doesn't offer it? I am one of the two premium seats (network, but I'm on the most).
I normally navigate to the toolbox via the RH Task pane and never use the Top add-in bar for TB. Once I turn it on there it shows up.
Tools--> add-ins--> Toolbox utilities ???? Is that turned on?
Right-click on a blank part at the top of your monitor and it should be there.
