I would like to know how did you do that formula and where did you asign it. I can't do it
Hope you can help
Go to Project>configuration (drop down) and Wire Styles Manager. Select your wires you want to edit the formula on and click the "fx" button. Note you'll want to adjust the formula for your numbering scheme (equipotential vs wire). Good luck! In your case you are using the origin/destination component info which may display dashes based on the software's core programming which I don't know of a clean way to fix. Reach out to your VAR for extra help!
I see now, I apologize for my "too-quick" response earlier :-)
I believe the initial hyphen is coming from the COMPONENT_ORIGIN_TAG and COMPONENT_DESTINATION_TAG generation itself, I can't reproduce what you are seeing on my project sets, my version 2017 SP2 does not produce an initial hyphen for the component tags. I would try different settings in the fx Mark tab in your Project>Configuration.
